An overview of results of field trials
Apple
Addition of the adjuvant Squall to Delan WG and captan-containing products enhances the efficacy against apple scab. This is the conclusion of a three-year German study by the Kompetenzzcentrum Ostbau Bodensee (KOB) in Bavendorf. Christian Scheer investigated the adjuvant in combating Venturia Inaequalis.
Black soil
Addition of the adjuvant Squall to the black soil spray prevents fruit damage. This is shown by German research by Kompetenzzcentrum Obstbau Bodensee (KOB) in Bavendorf. Christian Scheer investigated the addition of the adjuvant to Vorox and concluded that the anti-drift effect of Squall prevents fruit damage.
Cabbage
The addition of Squall, a sticker and anti-drift adjuvant, increases the effectiveness of the fungicides in cabbage. This is according to research from Proeftuin Zwaagdijk. The adjuvant has been used in test objects to control the mycosphaerella fungus.
Lily
The addition of Squall, a sticker and anti-drift adjuvant, improves the coverage of pesticides on the lilies and thereby increases the efficacy in combating viruses. This is the conclusion of research by Delphy and Proeftuin Zwaagdijk. The adjuvant has been used in covering tests and in the fight against the Lily mosaic virus and the Lily latent virus.
Onion
The addition of Squall, a biodegradable sticker and anti-drift adjuvant, has demonstrated that a higher yield can be achieved in onion cultivation with the addition of Squall. No less than 5 tons of onions were harvested more, because the downy mildew was better under control.
Pear
The addition of Squall, a sticker and anti-drift adjuvant, increases the effectiveness of the insect repellents in pears. This has emerged from research by the Centraal Adviesdienst Fruitteelt (CAF). The adjuvant has been used in test objects in the control of the pear sucker with the crop protection product Batavia SC.
Potato
The addition of Squall, a sticker and anti-drift adjuvant, ensures more and faster foliage killing in potatoes. BioChem Agrar tested the adjuvant in test objects in the potato variety Challenger.
Strawberry
The addition of Squall, a biodegradable sticker and anti-drift adjuvant, has made it demonstrable that with the usual means, a quarter fewer crop protection products are needed to combat powdery mildew in strawberries. German researchers came to this conclusion after two years of testing.
Rain fastness
Squall better retains the effectiveness after a rain shower. Studies in the Belgian Kerkdom (PC Fruit, Sint-Truiden) have examined the efficacy of various fungicides with and without GreenA’s biodegradable sticker and anti-drift adjuvant. A rain shower was simulated and scab was applied artificially.
Sugar beet
The addition of Squall, a sticker and anti-drift adjuvant, increases the effectiveness of the fungicides in sugar beet. According to research by Cultus Crop Research in Lottum. The adjuvant has been used in test objects to control the Cercospora beticola fungus.
Tulip
The addition of Squall, a sticker and anti-drift adjuvant, improves the coverage of pesticides on tulips. This is the conclusion of research by Proeftuin Zwaagdijk, CAV Agrotheek and the University of Amsterdam. The adjuvant has been used in coverage tests in the field and in the lab.
Weed
Squall sticks drops to the crop. That is why Squall is widely used in herbicide spraying. Wageningen UR commissioned research into the added value of Squall. Individual products have been tested on various weeds.
